Would it be beneficial to create an on-line form to more easily collate results?

e.g.

That would be great especially if we had access to the underlying spreadsheet so that we can sort the data using a pivot table.

Sure. Does anybody know of a good resource for forms like this?

The example I gave was done in Google Forms.

It has an excellent response summary feature now and data is saved to a spreadsheet.

Here's the example:

Google forms and the underlying spreadsheets are fantastic tools for sure. The best part is that you can easily use pivot table reports to sort the data and publish to the web for everyone to see.

Well, I've practiced my spreadsheet and data entry skills. There is now a link to Google Form in the first post. Also I've collated all 45 entries so far into the result sheet, also to be found in the first post.

If anyone smarter than me knows how to embed these document in phpBB3, or how to let users re-arrange the data without giving them write access to the spreadsheet, I'm all ears.

Now I need a drink.

I have a colleague who has used Awesome Table Widget to expose a sortable, filterable spreadsheet as read only.

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1G9J ... zAcCM/edit

It is made for embedding into Google Sites - I don't know but it might embed into other platforms.

Excellent work Joris - you definitely deserve a drink. I hope it will encourage more users to add their results.

I do a lot of searching in the PassMark bechmark database looking for a new laptop comparing scores.
So I have searched for all the videocards in the table.
here is the result if you want to take a look:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing

Interesting thing for me was that cards with comparable PassMark score can have very different resolume benchmark scores.

I very recently upgraded from GTX 570 to GTX 970. Although passmark is quite far apart for those two cards my Arena frame rate wasn't radically different - maybe 1 more noisy layer. It does improve shader performance though, as you might expect, which makes some shaders which were previously unusable, now usable. The upgrade didn't blow me away though - I'm not a gamer after all.
