Soft Edge organized in groups

Hey everyone,
here's one for the wishlist:
In advanced Output, assign Slices to "soft edge groups" so only images in the same group are blended with a soft edge. This could be helpful when edge blending and stacking beamers at the same time (or stacking images whilst projecting from different angles, thus avoiding drop shadows).
Scenario:
You have four Screens (Beamers) in total.
The slices of Screen 1 and 2 are left and right sides of a wide image, and blend together using the soft edge option. They are assigned to group 1, so they know they are to blend with each other, but not with slice 3 or 4.
The slices of Screen 3 and 4 are the same thing, the output stacks on top of the slices of Screen 1 and two. They are assigned to group 2, so they know they are to blend with each other, but not with slice 1 or 1.
I think that would be an awesome feature!
