Ignore Master Opacity

Having an option on layers to ignore master opacity would be useful.

I use crowd camera for background a LOT, it would be great be able to leave things like a camera on screen during blackout.

I would love and utilize this feature if it is rolled out.
I have 2 outputs from Resolume, one is main output and the other is the very bottom layer displaying ad's through out club. The ad's need to be displayed at full intensity or remain constant.

Thanks!

Unfortunately, the bypass layer bypasses the layer opacity but not the master opacity!

A quick workaround is to have the layers that need to stay up at 0 opacity bypassed in the advanced output and program all the other layer opacity sliders to the same MIDI/OSC/DMX control.

So Dirtyjohn_LV, you can:
  • have your crowd camera on layer 1 set at 0 opacity
create a slice in advanced output with layer 1as a source
    check the layer bypass/solo mode
move that slice to the bottom of the stack of slices
program all other layer opacity faders (2-n) to the same MIDI/OSC/DMX control
use the MIDI/OSC/DMX control to fade your comp which will reveal the crowd camera

I finally realized the power of "layer router" to solve my issue of constant output of specific layer/content but needing to control multiple layer composition intensity

Layer 12: Layer Router "Layer 10" Used as Alternative Master Int Control
Layer 11: SOLID COLOR BLACK @ Fader Int 100%
Layer 10: Layer Router "Compostion" @ Fader Int 100%
Layer XX: Content
...
...
Layer 2: SOLID COLOR BLACK @ Fader Int 100% !!OR!! Content @ Fader Int 100%
Layer 1: Content to Send to Alternative Output

With that above ^^^^^ Inside the Advanced Output Window you can have a layer going to an output as Layer 1 allowing you to leave that always on.

hope that is clearly explained. Thanks
