Text with transparent background

Hi
What is the best way to do this?
At the moment what I'm doing is this:
After Effects - create text - export with transparent BG - import into premiere pro
In premiere - transparency is still there but if I export as dxv the transparency is lost.
What am I doing wrong?

Any help would be appreciated.
Been trying to find the best export settings and codecs for this and have been searching online all day.
Thought it moght be better to just ask here, might save me a lot of hassle.

Cheers

There's a 'preserve alpha' setting for DXV in the codec config.

You should be able to export straight from AE to DXV with alpha.

You could also just use a png with alpha as long as it is close to comp size and you don't load too many at once.

Or just use a black background with Auto Mask.

There's a few flash files out there that allow you to change text on the fly. Or you could always try an online flash banner generator.

I did discover the preserve alpha channel in the dxv codec config when I was exporting in premiere but it didnt seem to work for some reason.
I didnt think I could export to dxv straight from AE so thanks a lot for your reply and giving me a few options.
Going to try all these now. :D

Steps encoding to DXV with alpha from AE and Premiere Pro are outlined here: https://resolume.com/manual/en/r4/dxv#e ... v_encoding
