would this capture device :

Instant DVD 2.0 Video Capture Device

allow me to mix in reolume a live video signal coming from a camera ?

i'm about to invest some cash in finding the best set up to mix a live signal without spending too much on a captureCard.
If you have suggestions or experienced others products, please let me know.

try a used canopus advc-100 they work great
w resolume 1.5.1, i plugged vcrs,camera's and other pc's(via s-video) into it,plus they can be used with
after effects 6.5 and premiere to fire wire your output window to a t.v.(a real plus i think)
but a not so expensive usb2 capture would work too.
hope this helps

Thanks for your tip on the canopus advc-100,
it's looking good, for 300$.
i have a shuttle and i think the only way to connect it to the Canopus is Via
fire wire .
(dumb question) is firewire faster than USB2 ?
because the USB capture device like : ADS Instant DVD 2.0 Video is only 119$,
so I'm tempted by the cheapest option, but still not sure of what to buy.
If you have suggestions or experienced others products, please let me know.
cheers
