I think DMX output is a huge feature in Arena 5 that many will appreciate. Awesome job for adding it

I have some ideas for extra features for DMX output.

Here I am saying a "control channel" is any channel not used in pixel mapping output - eg. a mode channel on a fixture.

Possible new features:
-being able to adjust control channels that are on 2 or more different fixtures at the same time.
-being able to change fixture control channels without opening advanced output
-make control channels mappable via midi or osc.

One way of doing this could be to make a new type of clip (maybe in the sources tab under a "control" category?) that contains the control channels for a fixture or multiple fixtures, this way the control channels could be parameters in the clip properties and then they could be midi or osc mapped the same as any other parameter. Even dashboard controls could then be used to link for example all dimmer or mode channels for different fixtures at the same time.

I guess this would turn Arena into a lighting controller

Let's just say great mind think alike and we'd love to hear if more people would dig a feature like this

+1 for the control channel idea. Another feature that would be nice is the ability to send the lumiverse's to dedicated layers. as i dont always want my pixels running and going into advance to turn them off is always the most convinient way. As you can with slices etc. the blitly to have a layer that was just pixels would be great when im doing lights and video. maybe even just a "mute dmx" kind button.
