hi,
I'm looking to buy a new laptop to run resolume exclusively, but i read disturbing facts on the internet about resolume going down to 10fps with very good computer and i'm kinda worry :? . I don't want to spend 2500$ on a laptop that won't be strong enough so i'm asking..

specs:
ALIENWARE 15'
Intel® Core™ i7-6820HK (Quad-Core, 8MB Cache, Dynamically Overclocked up to 4.1GHz )
16GB Dual Channel DDR4 at 2133MHz (8GBx2)
NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 980M with 4GB GDDR5 or AMD Radeon™ R9 M395X with 4GB GDDR5
128GB M.2 SATA 6Gb/s SSD (Boot) + 1TB 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s (Storage)

Is this laptop going to be strong enough.. and is NVIDIA GTX980M better than AMD RADEON R9?
thx! :)

Check out the following thread on Performance Benchmark to see if you find anything comparable but it seems like a nice laptop and you should be able to run some large comps on it at a decent FPS.

The only thing I would change to your laptop is a larger boot drive and install an SSD secondary drive.

Without a doubt I would choose the GTX980M. It'll be stable and you won't have any driver issues!

Good luck!
