Anyone using surface pro 3 at gigs?
I can get one cheap and wondering if it would do an alright job.

I have a Surface Pro 2, and it's decent for a few layers...

but if you're doing any mapping, it starts to slow the frame rate pretty fast.

It has a dedicated Intel graphics card, so it'll heat up pretty fast. I've mapped maybe
5 or 6 surfaces with Resolume and Mapio, and it was down to 10 fps even at DXV.

But if you're mixing 2 or 3 layers back and forth with minimal effects, it could be good-
and very portable! Also the touch screen is pretty awesome!

I have used the Surface Pro screen output from a drawing program to Resolume on another
machine (with a capture card) and it was pretty sweet for live drawing, and even mapping that
to surfaces.
