Novation Launch Control loses connection

Hi
I'm having an issue (Novation Launch Control). Recently upgraded to OSX El Capitan. Recently upgraded to 5.0.2

I lost my midi controller in the middle of a show last week. In Arena 4/5 previously, this happened occasionally. I just unplugged and re-plugged in my controller. Flashed a few buttons and it picked up again. Ever since the controller lost connection last week, I just cannot get it to come back. Obviously I've rebooted/etc. Midi Monitor says I am definitely firing off midi signals. Arena just fails to see them.

Any ideas?

Have you re-enabled midi input for it in the midi tab of the preferences?

Do you have MIDI in and out enabled in Resolume? I've noticed that my LaunchControl loses connection with MIDI output enabled but with just input enabled I have no problems.

OK - I solved the issue. (and maybe if I read the controller manual, I might have known this)

My controller leaped into an entirely different channel, which meant all of my buttons were no longer mapped. There are two "Templates" on the controller - User and Factory. When you hold down User, buttons 1-8 glow. This is how you choose Midi channel 1-8. The Factory button is set for channel 9.

I noticed when trying to re-map the controller, everything that was previously in channel 1 was now in channel 7. I was sharing my VJ laptop with a friend on my last gig and he was the one that told me the controller was no longer working. He must have somehow set the controller to channel 7 while mixing.

So, problem solved.

TLDR - RTFM
