had gig lastnight at near by harddance club - was there 8 til 6 but the promter scooted off without paying me

Insist you're paid by midnight, while most money is still in there hands.

If they forget just walk up to the promoter and ask to be paid so you're not chasing him at the end of the night, as you're then too busy packing up anyway. (because if you're anything like me, you don't like to leave your equipment for even a second !)

I've never not been paid, but i ALWAYS have this agreement JUST in case. You really have to think of everything in this business.

Hope he still pays you for that gig

its turned out to be aload of balls -
there not gonna pay me as it was my first time doin it for them and i need to "prove myself" apparantly. but fututre events they will sort me out. To be honest i think there talkin crap an just wanted a freebie an i probly wont here from them again.

not doin anything for without payment guarateed again tho, club promoters/owners screw you over
