I have a .mov ProRes 4444 that works great on the mac verson of arena and keeps alpha channles, however on the PC the clip wont even load into the deck?

When I use MPEG streamclip to convert it kills the alpha (even though it says it keeps it) and give me big black backgrounds.

Any suggestions?

Install Quicktime on your PC and/or use maximum render depth to retain the alpha channel.

Aside from Quicktime, ProRes playback on Windows requires the ProRes Decoder for Windows to be installed as well: https://support.apple.com/kb/dl2?locale=en_US

MPEG Streamclip cannot encode the alpha channel in DXV content. It's a shame, because there's no simple and free alternative for batch encoding on Windows.
