resolume - freezing problem

hello,

i'm using resolume 5 on an lenovo workstation.
# 02x NVIDIA Quadro4000
# Intel i7 - CPU E5-2670 0 @ 2.60 GHz
# RAM: 64GB
# SSD
# 2 layers - 2 videos with DXV3 codec
# each video to one screen (01x LED Wall, 01x NEC Videowall)

setup:
layer 1 -> NEC Videowall / 1920x1080p
layer 2 -> LED Wall / 768x108p

while playing back both videos, the video on the NEC Videowall is "freezing / lagging" every few minutes for something about 0,5sec. This happens random. Sometimes minute 2 for the video, sometimes minute 9, sometimes ...

Does anybody have an idea? The Workstation should have enough power, the Codec is correct.

Thank you!

open process monitor and check for background processes/system/disk load when the freeze happens, that could give a clue

look for programs that run in the background, and produce unusual system loads that could cause the freezing, while playing the videos.

do you see the freezing in the output preview too?

Have you tried switching your videos to see if it's from the video itself of the way your video wall is setup?

hello,

after a long night and day i found a solution that works for me.
i'm using smpte for keeping the videos in sync.
the videos dont have the same fps.

after "fixing" the fps on both videos and using the "correct" smpte fps its somekind smooth.
on top of that i tried a lot of diffrent things with the nvidia setup (v sync, ...)

content and smpte: 25fps
monitor: 25-30 fps (>output > show fps)

sometimes the >show fps drops down to 19 fps.
is that an indicator for a problem?

thank you very much! its great that there are somewhere peopel that care ;).
