Transfered images-clips files to ext Hard drive... compositions are empty

Hi. In order to create more space on my MacBook Pro hard drive, I decided to transfer all my clips-images folders and files on an external hard drive. Now (should have expected this !) When I open my compositions, no images are loaded and columns and layers (once filled with many clips) I have red squares with "relocate" written in the middle.
Is there a way to recover all my files (in these compositions) without dragging them in one by one ? That Resolume automatically reconnects the file paths on my external hard drive ?
I'm running on OSX El Captain 10.11.6
Thanks for the help

Unfortunately, as far as I know, there's no quick and easy way to restore your comps now that you've broken the logical path to all the files in your comps!
A work around solution would be to make another copy of all your clips-images folder, and consolidate all the files in one master folder so that when you query a missing file, Resolume will find all the missing files at once.
If you have a lot of comps with a lot of files in many sub folders, my advice to you would be to move your clips-image folders back to their original location so that all the logical paths are restored and once you've done that, get Ravensc's
Linear OSC Controller's comp collector feature to collect your assets into consolidated folders one comp at a time.
In the future, plan your file location strategically so that you can easily copy and move a comp and all related assets between computers in case you have hardware issues.

Oaktown has this all sewn up.
But do you realize that relocate is a button to relink content and you don't have the drag files in? This sentence makes me wonder if you have overlooked this feature. Long as you don't have 100 folders it's pretty quick.

Thank you Oaktown and Drazkers.
Your answers and solutions are quite clear. And unfortunately yes, some compositions were quite busy and I had lots of files in them (even using the "relocate button" it will be quite a job). I'm goin to try to put my files back on my internal hard drive to see if the logical path is dealing with the problem. Otherwise, I'll start my long process of filling the blanks
Thanks

if the folder structure you have doesn't matter that much, the fastest way to get your comps running - besides moving the file back to their original location -
would be to move all files into one folder, then start relocating with one file and click fix all , then no more relocation passes are needed for that particular composition/deck.
or- if you are confident to use Terminal:
create a directory for symlinks somewhere.
run this command in terminal, replacing the paths, this will create symbolic links to all mov. files from the source directory to the destination path, this will keep your folder structure intact, but doesn't use significant disk space.
find /file/source/directory/path -name *.mov -type f | xargs -I {} ln -s {} /destination/path/for/symlinks/
note that same name files will have only one symlink,I guess from the file last found. it will be the first found.
then relink your clips from the symlinks directory,
then you can use the CompCollector to collect the compositions if you want.
(edit: also as advanced user you could mount your external drive to the original path, but that would need more care, as the disk you connect may not be at the same device location on reconnect, and also would need sudo.)
my favorite solution of all the above-posts is the symlink method.

Hi all, the "click fix all" did a great job. Thanks, you made me discovered this function. It still requires me to do a lot of file search, but it saved me probably 75% of the time. And my compositions are almost all back.
Thanks for the tips.
Have a great day !
