Interesting bug with APC40 MKII and toggling effects.

So for the past few comps I've been utilizing an effects panel to control my entire comp. In mapping out my MKII I have set the top 9 pads to toggle my effects on and off by attaching them to the "B" in the Video Effects pane. The pads respond properly with one exception..
If you use the pads themselves to toggle between effects the backlight on the pad will not turn back on when struck a second time..the effect still toggles but the light does not.
Where as if I use just my mouse to click the "B" on and off the correct pad then lights up properly..see video below.
Thoughts? Solutions? It's obviously not life ending but I'd love to solve this.

*UPDATE*-----I had the same row of pads duplicated to my 5th layer as well..which I wasn't using hence me not noticing
. Removing the duplicates has seemed to fix my issue.
