Picked up a apc 40 mkII reciently. Love it the features and how it takes less pressure to hit a button instead of a drum pad accept it's really tough deciding how to map it with Resolume because of the fact there is no feed back for the LED's.

My biggest problem for example is getting a button to light up while an effect or something is in it's "ON" state. Not this momentary stuff where it defualts with only the LED lighting up when it's pushed.

I find my self getting overwhelmed and being taken out of focusing on the performance and instead looking for things that are ON since my controller is blind.

I've messed with bome's a little. I'm not a programmer so this is a bit out of my element.

I was wondering does anyone have a tip or a string that I can use for LED's to stay on when a button is pressed and then turn off when its pressed again? I've only been able to get it to stay lit one its pressed but can't get a button to turn off when pressed again..

Resolume has LED feedback for the Mk2, without the need for Bomes.

When you make sure your APC is in the recommended "Alternate Ableton Live" mode, it will send out Midi notes for all buttons (instead of ccs).

When assigned to a button UI element in Resolume, Resolume will then send velocity 127 when that control is toggled on, and velocity 0 when that control is toggled off. This effectively creates working LED feedback for all button UI elements., both in toggle and "piano" modes.

The only thing you currently need Bomes for, is if you want to change the velocity that gets sent, to change the color that the button lights up with on your controller.

Omg I'll look into this immediately because tbh I rather not be messing with bomes! Yeah I did think the color options were cool for organization messing with bomes but honestly the feed back is more important to me to get use to this controller. >< Thank you so much!

At first when I tried your suggestion I tried what I thought to be everything and couldn't get feed back. I was thinking how can something so simple be that hard? Realized I was a idiot and didn't check the midi output box under the apc in prefrences.

So it's pretty much working like you said! Thanks a ton!

I'm assuming chaining the velocity to something like white is deep inside Resolume. ><
