APC 40 mkii - Bank selection / Device control...

Hi all!

Finally scooped up an apc 40 mk ii, definitely the right interface for resolume...

Having one problem however - how on earth does one 'bank' select those device control knobs??? i.e. get those endless pots sending different notes by selecting a different bank (turning 8 knobs in 64...)

It sounds like it worked fine on the mk i (viewtopic.php?t=6213#p24581)
"The Track Select Buttons work as Switchers for the 8 Device Control Knobs, which allows you to map up to 72 controls (8 tracks + master * 8 knobs) to those Knobs, simply awesome for fine tuning Layer/Clip Properties or effects. Also, the value of the Knobs are indicated correctly when you switch from one bank to another, they really completely behave like 72 different controls.
Well, you still can only access 8 of them at once, but it still gives you a total of 80 mapable knobs. Wich seriously kicks ass."
I basically chose the apc40 for this purpose - is it not possible to replicate this behavior in the mkii? Or am I being the fool?

Your help will make me smile! Thanks in advance,

J :D

To get that behaviour, the APC needs to be in Generic mode.

It may be good to know that if you want to control different items with the same control, based on what's selected, Resolume does that 'natively'. Not just for the APC40, but for all controllers. Check out the 'layer' focus mapping mode: https://resolume.com/manual/en/r5/contr ... rd_control

Hey Joris,

Thanks for your reply - indeed generic mode has the controller store these values internally and output as different notes. Thankyou.

The reason the native solution is no use is because I want to use the endless rotatary banks for different controls, such as clip transitions time, layer fx and clip fx...

Thanks again :)
