Ok here is the thought: Let's say in one column I have 3 videos that need to play in sync, and one audio file that also needs to run in sync with the video. Playing them all together is easy, just hit the column header. But if I need to scrub the video forward I can only do it with one and that would lose sync with everything else. Or, if I need to trim the "in" point, I would have to meticulously make the edit on each clip so that they stay sync'd up.
If it were possible to select multiple clips in a column and "link" them so that if I edited one, it would make the exact edit on the others, or if I grabbed one clip and scrubbed it in the timeline, the others would scrub along with it...that would be really, really useful.
