display glitch and eventually system crash in connection to AME

Anyone experienced the following?
while running Resolume I often need to convert files.
For converting I use Adobe Media Encoder.
sometimes when encoding to DXV and running resolume, my system UI gets glitches in the textures displayed.
these glitches look like if the pixel data was overwritten from a certain position.
after stopping AME, and running resolume the OS eventually freezes on me completely so that a hard reset is required to get things going again.

This is my second macbook pro, from the same model and year (mid 2012) I have this problem with, the first had the motherboard replaced because of graphics issues allegedly (the person who I bought it from said so).
AME is set to "Software only" encoding.

setting AME to OpenCL I got the attached crash log.

I really would like to find out what's causing this. so any help would be appreciated.
AHT and GPU memory tests complete without errors.

running macbook pro retina GT650m, El-capitan, Resolume 5, tried Adobe media encoder CC 2015/2017

I had an older Mac that would overheat and do things like that. But this was a 2010 so it could be totally off base.

I had it in a late 2011 model MBP as well. The screen would glitch out when switching to the discrete GPU.

Turns out it's a known issue, and I got my motherboard and GPU replaced for free because of some warranty program.

thanks guys,
when this happens I have the discrete graphics active so no switching,
and watched for the temperatures, I got yesterday a crash after I have shut down AME, resolume running in idle temps were around 80degrees celsius, swithced to another program, and system restarted again.

I can use the laptops for weeks without any glitch including gaming in windows and OSX, and as soon as I start AME weird things happen.

Found some info somewhere that Cuda drivers can cause this kind of kernel panic, so removed Cuda and hope for the best, for the time being.

found now some threads about adobe products causing panics and crashes,
https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1899728
looks like I have to look for a different media converter...

so just a heads up for anyone else running into this kind of trouble,
I could get Apple's Compressor which seems to fulfill my needs so far, and no more kernel panic situations.
