Hi everyone i want to build a new PC for Resolume but Resolume only , no after effects , no edition softwares, only a show operation system

I have read a lot of posts and the conclusion is: i have to choose depending on my show requirements

Normally i do corporative events , and usually the set up is from 2 to 3 outputs + monitor,
and 2 capture cards one for power point presentations and other for camera and that's all

I use a GTX 960 2gb and it runs ok with 3 outputs 3072 pixels composition and 2 BMD capture cards ,this set up was the last one i used in the last show, but that PC is full of crap now, a lot of data, lots of design and video softwares and i don't want to use it anymore for shows

Now i want a little more power but the problem is the money , the difference between costs of a 3gb vram card and a 6gb is huge , in the case of performance in videogames there is really no difference according to some research i've done but i don't know in resolume

Obviously a 12gb vram is the best option but according to my corporate events needs i described before what's the best option? im between 4gb vram or 6gb vram

My actual system is

Intel core i7-4790 CPU 3.60HZ
RAM 16 gb
Windows 7
Nvidia GTX 960 2gb

Thanks for your time for reading this and sorry for my english , hope you guys understand it , if not i´m screwed hehe

For the price, This card is hard not to get:
https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product. ... -_-Product

This card should keep you safe for any future expansions that might come over then next 3-5 years.

If you have another $150 to spend. The GTX1080ti is a great card as well.

What is your budget?

Yeah right now is a bad time to build a budget pc due to the cost of a current memory shortage and etherium crypto mining buying up all middle ranged gpu's. Which leaves you paying way too much for a mild gpu. A 1080 which is the only thing that is still reasonably priced for performance due to not being a mining favorite, it's well over 50% of the budget outside of a fast ssd like a nVME m.2. ><

Just a very very unfortunate time to try and build a computer specially if you have a tight budget.
But to answer the question, the most vram you can afford outside of quadro's. 6gb+ is good.

Edit: If you wana move this pc around it is probably advised to not get tempered glass cases. ><

My new favorite case to move servers from job to job is the Corsair Vengeance Series Military Green C70 Mid Tower Computer Case in black.

Yeah it makes pulling the computer cases out of our Benson boxes super easy!

I also really like the latches to pull the side panels off.
