DXV Codec In Adobe Premiere PC 2017, where is it??

I have Abobe Premiere 2017.0.2......it works fantastic. I am rather new to the DXV format thing, and have been asked to generate the file in that format.

However under the Quicktime Codec selection, there is NO DXV choice. I have looked everywhere. I have reinstalled Quicktime, downloaded and installed the tiny DXV Codec, still nothing. What the heck am I missing???

I'm having the exact same problem, on a Windows 10 system. I had installed Resolume Arena 5, which also is supposed to install the codec, and rebooted multiple times, restarting Premiere also.

Next I tried downloading and installing just the DXV codec v3.01 from Resolume site, that didn't work either.

This works fine on the Mac... maybe the installer put the codec in the wrong directory or something?

You can find the DXV codec in the Quicktime (.mov) format in the Format options selector, in the video codec dropdown, if you have DXV installed.

Here is the latest thing. RENDERING to DXV Code within Adobe Premiere simply DOES NOT WORK. Yes you can install Quicktime on a PC System, and it will "act" like you are going to render to the Codec, but it CRASHES and never begins the rendering.

I have waited months to hear be from those guys, and nothing. If you have to generate a Pro-Res file on a PC system, you will have to 3rd step it through some conversion program. Kinda sucks bigtime and wastes a bunch of time.

Have you tried rendering with Adobe Media Encoder using the [Add Premiere Pro Sequence...] feature?

Zoltan, thanks for the reply but I've uninstalled and re-installed the latest version of Resolume Arena 5 and the Quicktime --> DXV option still does not show up in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, or Media Encoder.

This is really a problem blocking me from completing a project, can anyone help me get Adobe products to find the DXV codec? I've installed the codec itself as well and the Resolume 6 beta, all with multiple attempts and reboots, still not working. :x  :?:

Could you try the solution drazkers posted in viewtopic.php?f=12&t=14419&p=60043&hili ... der#p60043?
It's possible that the codec is not placed in the folder quicktime actually uses.

I had the same problem in a PC with windows. The solution was to install Alley also, and restart
;)
