The topic says it all, after update to beta2 all Midi assignments were out of the window.

Did you saved your midi maps to a new xml file (I mean, with a name: mycontroller), or just used the 'Default' one?

I think something may have changed between beta1 and beta2, in the preset specification and probably also the file paths in your Documents folder.
You may be able to copy your preset from the old path to the new, the new path is in the nice folder structure, check folder creation dates.

i think i had saved them under a different name.

under documents/R6... i only see midi.xml, which are the new settings.

Oh no, mfo, that's your midi device preferences.
Take a look here: Documents\Resolume Arena 6\Shortcuts\MIDI
You will see the Default.xml, and other premade midi maps for APC40MKII, NanoKontrol, etc.
