Relative Pickup - Haha moment

I must admit that even though I've built hundreds of comps, I've never actually taken the time to read the manual!!! This morning, I was reading the manual to hopefully learn new things about Arena 6 and I just had a big "HAHA" moment when reading the following paragraph in the section on "Playback Options"
Now, with the relative pick-up mode, all I need to do is place a copy of the L1C1 clip in L1C2, click on "relative pick-up" and add an animated fade out and the movie will fade out when I click on L1C2! It also give me the ability to create simple cues that have various timed animations. As far as I can tell, it works great with a video track but unfortunately, it seems a little glitchy with an audio track.
This will save me a bunch of programming time as well as the need for additional layer routers so first I wanted to thank Bart for holding on to this feature and then share this discovery hoping it'll help you as well!!!
Well, this playmode is really a godsend for triggering anything as a live cue when a movie is playing. I do a lot of theatrical projects and when I need to fade a movie using an visual event on stage to trigger a cue, I always used a layer router on top of the movie to have a fade out cue. So for instance I would put my movie in L1C1 with 0% opacity with a layer router in L2C1 at 100% with L1 as input and opacity unchecked. Then since I do most of my cue triggering using columns, I would make L1C2 a "ignore column trigger clip" and place a copy of the L2C1 router in L2C2 with an animated fade out. I know that instead of using the routers, I could also keep L1 at 100% and fade a black clip to 100% in L2C2 but I always prefer using the router because 1) it would work with any kind of animation and 2) I could fade a clip that is on a top layer as well. The third option, "relative pick-up", will start the clip at the same relative position the previously played clip was at. I don't really know what you would use this playmode for. Bart really loves it because Resolume 2 had it and he used it with crash test footage of different cars, and he could change cars mid crash or something. I guess that must have been like pretty cool. Back in 2002. Like, whatever.
