it'd be great to have an option to use midi the on & off messages to toggle direction, the "note on" reversing and the "note off" getting back to normal. Rather than having to press twice to get that effect.

For ex. it plays forward
press a note down : backwards, release the note : forward again.

the interest of this would also be that when you toggle direction to get a ping pong effect and then retrigger it from the beginning you would always get it in the right direction (whereas now if you're not careful, you might trigger it in the opposite direction)
easier to show than describe with words though

same for pause
note on = pause
note off = back to previous mode of playing
