Preview only mode

Feature request :)

As the output is in front of you (on the stage you're performing on), doesn't it make more sense to hide the output and maximize your preview space?

I wish I could see the screens! Half the time I’m sitting in the dark behind it “out of the way”...

Just like you, but for a different reason, I'd like to have the output and preview monitors in two different tabs that can be moved independently from each other. I'd like that so that I can size them and place them where I want to minimize the black space on my screen.

For now, you could hide your output monitor and use the panel monitors to preview your work.

You can, but then your effect section per layer would fall under the screen. I just thought it would make more sense to prioritize the preview screen over the output, as the output is usually right in front of you.

I put my comp/group/layer/clip section on the right of the screen so I can see everything.

Just like Empyfree, I can't always see all the screens so output is key for me but rather than prioritizing one over the other, I think if the output and preview were is separate windows, we can both have our cake and eat it :D

i just route 1 copy of the output to spout and watch it on an external monitor
i set up the slices so it looks like the physical shape of the walls
i also setup another slice on the spout screen that inputs my bottom layer (i turn on bypass and put the opacity all the way down) so i can preview how a clip will actually look on the wall without going live yet
