Hey,

In Resolume 5, when I duplicated a layer, or copied / pasted a clip, it duplicated all the effects and MIDI parameters assigned.

I just had to remap with another Midi note to have the same behavior as on the original layer / clip.

With Resolume 6 it does not work anymore.

Saving an effect does not allow you to keep the Midi notes, you have to redo all the settings + the behavior (Button / Toogle / Piano, Velocity etc ...)

Is there a solution ?

The MIDI system within Resolume completely changed. How you now assign midis is different compared to Resolume 5.

You got now options such as: Selected Layer, This Clip & By Position
Duplicating these notes could lead to a confusing situation and break the control for many.

Effects don't save midi settings either; this is by design. Having effects with relative midi input saved would also lead to confusing situations and only make the whole design more complicated.

Solution?
Prepare a deck that you can easily adjust. A deck that you can always use regarding the situation. Assign effect parameters to dashboard panel. Those are settings that can be saved.

You can have all your midi saved to the dashboard link and the effects point towards the dashboard link. This is how you could have both of best worlds; keep it swappable without making it confussing.

I Have Manually edited Composition.avc and MidiShortcut.xml.
It is not possible otherwise.
The dashboard panel is not a solution when there are several dozens of effects and shortcuts used.
Resolume 6 brings a lot of nice novelty. But on other points, it is much less flexible.
But I managed to do what I wanted: Duplicate dozens of effects, with linked Midi shortcuts, on other Clip and Layer.
