No effects on composition

Hello all,
Probably a newbie question but I am unable to load any video effects on my composition. I can do it with the audio ones.
I have Arena 5.0.1.

Maybe you have accidentally enabled the 'Disable global effects & blend modes' setting in the video preferences?
