Hi

I am not able to change audio output device to HDMI even after changing on the System Preferences first on my MacBook Pro with 10.13.3 version.

When selected it jumps back to Built-in Output

Hope anyone has an idea???

Is OSX able to output audio to the HDMI output?

Please send us your log file via the Feedback tab in Preferences.
Thanks!

Thanks for the log.
The log shows,

Changing audio setup to:
Device Type: CoreAudio
Output Device: HDMI
Input Device:
Samplerate: 44100
BlockSize: 512
Couldn't change sample rate

not sure why that would happen. Is the HDMI output used by another application too?

You could try to set the HDMI device's sample rate to 44100Hz in the Audio Midi Setup, maybe that would help you further.

Thanks Zoltan, changing to 44100Hz did the trick.
