Hi,
i would like to start two clips simultaneously, triggered by the mouse.
Column trigger is not really an option because I have six layers in two groups and only a few clips should play together.
I tried to use loopMIDI with two virtual MIDI ports for input and output, and set the specific clips to the same midi note.
what did i do wrong? or is it even possible to trigger multiple clips with the mouse at once?

You can only trigger multiple clips at once with the mouse with the column trigger. (or Next / Prev column buttons)
Create a new column for these clips, and if you don't want other layers to stop the previous clips while you trigger this column, you can right click on the empty clip slots and set them to Ignore Column Trigger.

Assigning the same Midi Note to multiple clips should also work just fine.
Just make sure you set the Shortcut target to This Clip.

You can also use a group with two layers and trigger two clips that are in the same column by clicking on the group column header with your mouse.

If you want that group to be independent from your overall composition you can set the group to ignore the composition column trigger

you can also trigger clips that arent in the same column.
Press CTRL -> CLICK with mouse on the different clips in diff. columns -> then ENTER to trigger
