audio controllers problem

Hi
I'm having some troubles with the audio analysis.
I'll explain a situation: On layer 1 i have a background animation. On layer 2 i have another animation with alpha equal to 0. I'd like to have the effect that on every beat we see the layer 2 at alpha equal to 100, and not that the alpha is trembling at a certain position. This gives as result that on every beat we only see layer 2 and between 2 beats only layer 1.
Can somebody tell me if this is possible or how i can do it.
