Wireless LED Driver

Hi Guys - I have a Smart Show Pixie - which is a (arduino?) based 2812 LED driver.
They recommend testing it with a PC app called Jinx! (madrix, but free). And my current set up works.
With Jinx, after patching - I click "start output" and the blue LED on the unit turns off, and the LED strip turns on.
I don't know how to do the equivalent of that for Arena. I have it all patched correctly, but I can't get it to "start".
Any ideas?!

That all looks correct.
Two things to make sure:
- You've set the correct network adapter in the DMX tab of the preferences. This should be your WIFI card.
- That no other app is using the Art-Net port. So close all apps that do anything Art-Net related, then launch Resolume and do your thing.

dammit -
that was the fix. I had to switch to wireless adapter - which seems backwards to me. Thank you.
so, now I'm all confused. Maybe you can help me.
PC -> ethernet out -> switch
Switch has two things currently - the wireless router , and the Enttec pixel mini.
When selecting the onboard controller - I can use my LEDs through the Enttec, but not the wireless one
When using the Wireless adapter - I can use the pixie, but not my Enttec.
So now - is it possible to use both?!

Not without adding an extra level of complexity where you need to select the adapter per Lumiverse, or adding an extra layer of abstraction where you assign Lumiverses to virtual adapters that can then be assigned to real ones.

Is there a walk through for that?
I don't mind adding complexity if it means I can do what I need to do! Adapter per universe doesn't seem too difficult.
I was hoping by plugging the router into the switch along with the wired enttec thing, I could use the wired network for all. Boo.
Thanks for the help!

I mean that we as developers would need to add an extra level of complexity or abstraction to the UI to make this available to you as a user in Resolume.
But why don't you contact the makers of your gizmo to see if it's possible to connect to the box via a router?

Sounds like all your gear would be on the same network.
Check the IP address ranges your devices use, and make sure they are on the same subnet/mask.
Looks like this should be 192.168.0.xxx with subnet mask 255.255.255.0.
If you use a DHCP server on the router, make sure that it supplies also this range, and it has an IP address of it's own in the same range so you can adjust things more easily.
Also make sure the Router is set up not to segment the Wireless devices from the wired ones.

I think this thing might be creating its own network that the laptop connects to. But it's all guesswork at this point, which is why I recommend to get in touch with the manufacturer about advice on the network setup side of things.

Update:
It works.
Path to success:
I don't have a damn clue.
I renamed all the IPs, pulled and swapped every ethernet cable. Reset all the power cables.
and it works.
So, Murphy, I guess. I knew it SHOULD work - and y'all telling me it should work was what I needed to hear. I'm sure I'll have more issues soon. <3
Thanks all!
