Basically just like you can select the timeline automation to go for random values it would be nice to have random values selected during beat sync automation instead of having to use the speed slider. It would link to the current master BPM setting and just change values randomly on beat. Please.

Change the playmode of the clip from timeline to bpm sync , then hit random. =?

Indeed the random mode is not available currently for parameters in BPM sync.
Looks like we have a ticket for this in the features bucket: #2874
