Hey guys!

I am really really stuck at the moment! Im using an Resolume Avenue 6 on an Alienware 15' R3 - Windows 10 with Nivida 980M installed on this laptop.

I am having problems with the Display 2 output. For example I often use LED Walls and I set the composition to 1366 Pixels X 336 Pixels.... The virtual display on Resolume changes, However when I click on Display 2, for some reason it is still 1920 X 1080?

I haven't had this issue before using another Alienware with Windows 7 and can't get my head around what to do?


I often use custom resolutions and normally just enter my custom resolution on composition and then click Display 2, which matches up perfectly with my LED Wall? Normally when I click Display 2 on my Alienware with Windows 7, there is no set resolution on there, and I am able to match up my custom resolution?

Is anyone able to help me please?

As far as i know, your display 2 correspond to your graphic card output resolution you set in your OS.

The composition resolution you set is just for your internal canvas.

If you would like to have 1366 x 336 onto your led wall,

There are 2 ways to do that.

Choose your display 2 as your screen in the Advanced output.

From your output transformation you set your slice to 1366 x 336.

This should be fine and dandy as long as you are driving the signal to sending card WITHOUT any scaling done from the LED side.

Usually the LED sending card will display the first 1366 x 336 graphic and cut the rest, AS long as your LED WALL physical pixel count is 1366x336.

OR

You may have to set a custom resolution of 1366 x 336 from your graphic card control panel.

Then your display 2 on resolume will automatically be 1366 x 336, since resolume detected this resolution from the OS.
