NDI performance between Mac and PC

Hello,

I am testing NDI output with Resolume 6.1.1, for a project where my output from Resolume will be sent to Millumin on a second computer. I won't be able to send directly from Resolume to the projectors because Millumin will be used the same day for an other performance.

We have been trying NDI output between a Macbook (from Resolume) and a Macpro (to Millumin), and it worked pretty well with a 2k composition and more, with a bit of latency but rather fluid.

We have been trying the same thing between two PCs and it goes very slowly. Instead of 60fps without NDI output, Resolume goes to approximately 20 fps with a 1280x720 composition, 11fps with 1920x1080, and 2fps with 4k...

Mac and PC were running Resolume 6.1.1 and NDI Tools 3.7. The pc was running on Windows 10 64bits, with an i7, a GTX1070 and 32Gb of ram. Nvidia drivers updated. Theoretically more powerful than the Mac.
CPU, GPU and ram usage seem to be normal on the PC.
I thought my network could limit the bandwidth but I tested it and it goes until 900Mbits/s between the two PCs.

Have you any ideas of why NDI goes so slowly on my PCs ?
Have you been experiencing troubles with NDI on Windows ?

Many thanks!

Are you sure the NDI connection is made on your wired network interface?

I've done a fresh install on an other PC and it's now working very well

Thanks
