Crosshair in output during input mask making

Hi all!
Im looking for a solution to see the crosshair in the output while making input maks, or a workaround for my problem.
Im working on a project in which i need to mask complex shapes on location, so a crosshair is wanted. I know how to activate this in the output module (show grid, show in output).
With output masks this is working fine, but i need it to work with input masks. The reason is that i need white masks on top of my output layer stack, that have opacity control.
The way i have it set up with input masks: i have the top layer in the deck generate a white solid. In the output i mask with an input mask on a slice and select only the top layer of the deck. This way i can have a white mask on top of everything that i can control, but i cannot make such a mask shape with a crosshair. The layer needs to be able to be controlled opacity, so an output mask is not an option because that cant be linked to a layer. Right now i have to make an input mask shape guessing what the shape should be, and then drag the points to the correct location without a crosshair.
If i would be able to copy paste an output mask to an input mask that would also be a solution, but im not sure if this is possible.
Im using arena 5
Does anyone have a solution for this? Thanks a lot!
