questions about chroma key, opacity, and layers/clips

Hi, i'm trying to figure out why resolume avenue is acting strange in a couple situations with chroma key, opacity, and layers. Could you please help?

There are two things that i'm confused about.

First, there are some situations in which i want to chroma key a clip that only takes up a small part of the canvas, but it always seems to make any layers that are below the clip completely black. I show this in the video below. I wanted to chroma key just the clip with the green screen in the top right corner of the canvas, but it always makes the clips/layer below it black. Why does this happen and how can i chroma key just that one clip without affecting the clips/layers below it?

Second, there is a layer that seems to be translucent or chromakeyed or auto masked or something, where it always shows the layers below it, and i haven’t been able to figure out why. There is no chromakey or auto mask effects on it and the opacity is at 100%, so why is this clip/layer still showing the clips/layers below it? Shown in this video:

Thanks.

Try moving the chroma key before clip transform.

Indeed there is, you have an auto mask effect on the camera layer.
