Check for updates freezes Resolume Arena

Hi,
I mentioned this problem before in a previous post; When i click 'Check for updates' resolume Arena freezes and needs to be force-quited.
I reinstalled the software but the problem remained. I Allowed Resolume to bypass the Firewall, even with the firewall totaly disabled the problem occurs. There is a popup visible for a split second then the application becomes unresponsive.
Is there anyone who experienced the same problem?
Any help or suggestion is much appreciated!

Something like this used to happen on Yosemite, that's why I asked if you are using that OSX version.
Could you send us the Resolume log file via the feedback tab in preferences?

Does Resolume also freeze when it checks for updates on it's own in the background on startup?

I don't know. it crashes on manual request for an update.

If you don't see Resolume crashing on normal startup, then the check should succeed fine.
Which is quite strange.
You could try to open Activity monitor, click on the hanged Arena process, then click on the "i" button on the top in Activity monitor. On the bottom of the popup you should see a Create dump button, which you could use to create the process dump, and send it to us.
Maybe it would reveal where Resolume is stuck at.

A funny thing happen'd, i started up the activity monitor and launched arena. Checking the update button went well this time, no freezes at all. The only thing different from the previous breakdown is the absence of an external disc with footage on it that is in the composition.
i can't think of why that would have caused the problem but maybe you do?
Anyway things look fine for now and i'm up to date with the software.

Was this a USB drive?
