FPS slower than video file

I've been wondering about this for some time, someone will certainly be able to clarify this for me.

If you have an animation rendered at 30 fps , which is a 10 seconds long, and for some reason Resolume is outputting at 20 fps , whats happening with the "lost" frames ?

Does the clip stay true to the duration so it will play exactly 10 seconds no matter the output fps ?
Are certain frames of the animation dropped to stay keep in time or how does this work please ?

The clip should play for it's original duration, and the frames that can't be displayed should be dropped.

Is this a DXV file you have issues with?

nope , 2 different .mp4 files at full hd.
And such a last last minute "please come here now and map this" job that i didn't even have time to convert each 10min video..

Buut ok thats clear thanks , it's a small but important detail to know
