Here is my top 10 list of required functions for my dream Resolume V3

1) Midi out for use of Motorized MIDI/USB controler faders in caos mode

2) Remote control via Client aplication and Resolume Host (or controled via XML in a browser)

3) Use of Third party Filter plugins such as used for Photoshop and After Effects

4) Additional layer for adding text on the fly without having to use a dynamic swf

5) built in Screen recorder so that you can feed another application into the layers

6) import of winamp plugins such as R4

7) Add a scrol bar to the mask popup as i can not access all my masks!!!

8) add a midi anabled function to load a new dek

9) Sort out the audio side of things we need that music sync tight!!

10) Midi over LAN/WAN - WAN most importand to my latest project

Please please please! we need these functions in resolume V3!

dont start talking about v3 when v2.x has some bugs

thanx for that list! discussions like this really helps us prioritize our work. at the moment our main concern is fixing bugs though ...

it seens that in the last days i'm not the only to need midi out

That would help you, bart&edwin, very much. That way you dont need to connect every kind of visual-output (e.g. winamp) to resolume.
Simply give the people a tool at hand to capture and send via vidnet.
You could have any kind of strange tools, e.g. mathematical simulations, weather diagnosis, internet games ... running on comp A, capture the screen or a window and send it to comp B, where you mix it into resolume.

i can only com eup with 5 things i would luv to find improved.
but from my point of view those are most fundamental!

1) BPM/BEAT TAP function (syncable via MIDI, eg. V4 beat tapping - midi clock?) !!!!
2) most PRECISE VIDEO CLIP LOOPING (constant playback speed, so looping to beat works for real)
3) better results with FFT and Audo Responsiveness
4) an EXTRA FADER for Layer Opacity (so fading out a lumakeyed layer would be possible for example)
5) MIDI OUT would be nice too i guess...

so please bart and ed... PIMP MY RESOLUME!!!!

i'll be very happy to have these functions in new version of resolume:

1) video tagging -- i'd like to tag my clip collection so i can very easy sort or filter videos. i want to sort my videos by several parameters, such as many kinds of emotions, thing that people do and other things.

2) saving plugins presets -- every clip should have an option to save at least 10 plugin effect options so i can easily choose which one i'd like to use. there are some videos+effect combination i use very frequently but i don't like to setup plugins in every session.

i think these two suggestions can make vjing with resolume more user-friendly.
