Run across a few issues. 7.0.1

Importing a composition from 6 causes text block clips with a line width set to be imported with a line width of 10 and you can't change it. Deleted text block and making a new one works.

Strobe Effect, strobing alpha on a layer or clip isn't working anymore. Works in 6.

Are you using a Text block effect or a text block source?
It works with either for me.

Could you send us a sample composition with this setup, or describe what you do exactly that doesn't work in version 7?

attached a simple composition from v7
if you load the solids, layer 2 should be strobing from blue to alpha, but doesn't do anything.
if you turn the alpha up, you can see it start to strobe to black (which is expected)

Yes, it indeed works differently in R6.

The strobe effect makes the color you specify flash up blended with the specified blend mode.
A transparent color, alpha blended with any texture should not change the original texture, right?
So I think the behavior in R7 is actually accurate. Wether it's the expected behavior, that would be up for discussion.

Strobe Effect has worked the way it did in v6 since v5. I always assumed it was an effect version of the stroboscope source/generator.

In v7 the solid color and stroboscope generators alpha work as described in v6 for the strobe effect, it seems the only change was the alpha of the strobe effect itself for v7

I've made a ticket for this, we'll check what's up.
