Hi everyone,
I'm using 4 webcams of the same type (Logitech C270) on a show with Resolume 6 on macOS 10.15.1. The cameras show up in Resolume as USB-camera, USB-camera #2, USB-camera #3, and so on. The problem is that every time I unplug the cameras and plug them back in again (always into the same usb-port of the usb-hub of course) they start showing up under different names. I now get USB-Camera #5, USB-Camera #6, etc... And it's impossible to reproduce the behavior. Sometimes they get renamed and sometimes not. And if they are renamed they of course don't work in decks anymore. And AFAIK there is no possibility in Resolume to replace all instances of the same webcam in the deck with one click...
Any thoughts on that?

Yeah, the usb device naming is up to the system, and Resolume doesn't know which one is which if they are using the same name.
Same named devices are given an ID number in Resolume, and the last index is used I'd assume.

Try the solution in https://superuser.com/questions/437755/ ... ce-manager it might help to rename the devices so they show up with different names in the first place ( if windows can distinguish them somehow)

If that doesn't work, unplugging all cameras, then plugging them back in one by one in the order you need them might.

I have exactly the same issue for a show using 4 identical USB cameras on Windows 8.1 with the last version of Resolume.

The camera have been renamed individually in the registry editor to have their own "FriendlyName" but in Resolume they always appear as "USB Camera", "USB Camera #2", etc...

And even if we plug all the camera in the same perfect order in always the same ports, Resolume do not always reload the project with the appropriate camera...this is really annoying for our show.

Any idea of how to manage this use case properly ?

How do the cameras show up in skype, or OBS?
Do they keep their order there after a restart?
