crashes and now super low fram rate

Hey guys hoping someone has some insight on my situation.
I have been running Arena 6 for over a year with no problems. It recently started crashing after about 5-10 min of use. It threw up an error code that I was not able to record but said that drivers may need to be up dated. Then it started crashing worse with different error codes.
I was concerned it had a virus so I took it to a computer repair shop to get it checked out. They scanned it and said they couldn't find any viruses.
They also said they updated some of my drivers.
When I got it back now I open Resolume and it only shows it running at 30 fps with nothing playing. It was running at 60 with the composition set to 60 and would run higher when set to auto and vsync off. When you play a video it immediately starts dropping and quickly goes down to only 9 fps
I have a version 5 Arena on my computer and when I open it and do the same tests is seems to work fine. The frame rate will be over 100 with vsync off and does not drop that much when playing clips.
Seems to only be version 6 effected
I have tried searching the forum for solutions. I have updated the Nvidia drivers, I have rolled back the Nvidia drivers. I have tried resetting the Nvidia contol panel settings. I tried removing and reinstalling version 6. Also tried rebooting the graphics card with the shortcut keys. Nothing changes
Then recently now other programs are intermittently not opening or responding properly. One time i tried to open Blender and it said that I do not have a 3d graphics card in my computer and couldn't open it??
Then it started to work again later.
The computer repair shop said it sounds like a hardware issue because the problems are intermittent.
Wtf is going on here! Could my graphics card be dying? Why would I have problems in 6 but not 5?
I have an MSI GL63 with the Nvidia GTX 1060
Windows version 10.0.18362 build
GTX 1060 version 441.66
Let me know if you need any other info.
Thanks!
