Curved Slices for Input Selection?

Hey guys,

Apologies if this has already been asked (couldn't find an answer in forum searches myself) but I had a question about Advanced Output settings. I have a project where the client has created a CnC cut-out of their logo to be projection mapped, but it is a fairly complex shape with plenty of curves in it (graffiti style lettering). What I would like to do is create a slice that follows the vector outline of their logo, so that when I arrive on site to map, I am able to manipulate the points of the slice to accurately "warp" the image into place on the actual sign (so I have the ability to adjust the slice to account for any differences between the vector and the CnC on site, as well as any shifts in the projector mount, as this is an recurring annual project and the tower that houses the projector sometimes shifts a little over time).

Now I know you allow bezier curves on output masks, but when you manipulate the points on the mask in output transformation, its revealing different parts of the input, which is not what I'm trying to achieve. I need it to behave more like a polygon slice (so that when I manipulate the points on the output transformation, it warps the input into place rather than changing what parts of the input are revealed). I see that there is no option to switch from linear to bezier using the polygon slice though, only on the output mask.

So what I'm asking is, is it at all possible to use bezier curves to define my input slice so I can trace the logo accurately? Or will I have to use a zillion points on a polygon slice to approximate the curves in the logo? Obviously that's not ideal, as you will get jagged points on the output, but better than trying to mask and then use something like mesh warp to fit the mask into place (a totally inaccurate, last ditch way of doing things imo). Am I missing something obvious here in the settings, or is that something Arena just has not been able to achieve yet?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I'd probably use a regular rectangular slice with a polygon input mask on it.
