Hey, I'm planing on Creating VR content with resolume. You're supose to be able to record 4K and beyond but I was wondering how beefy hardware you would need to record 8k output while having lets say 5 layers with effects running simultaneously (inputs are mainly still images, effects are mainly opacity and/or color).

You'd need pretty beefy hardware.
Resolume composition FPS falls to 20 with a 1080Ti, 2x 8k layers playing on a Threadripper 1920x.
With a 4k composition, 6 layers, composition FPS is still at 60 recording.

You'd get lot better results using a 8k output and a capture card with a different machine.
