Plugin categorization and hot reload

Hello,

is there a way to categorize / arrange my plugins in Resolume 6?
So, I would like to put my FFGL extra effects in a self defined category. I searched the forum and tried the methods found in posts (creating subfolder in Extra Effects, creating subfolder in my custom set FFGL directory), but nothing is happening for me. Plugins always appear in the "Generators" category in Sources, or at the top level of Effects.

On a related question: is there a method to reload the plugins without restarting? I'm experimenting with developing my own FFGL plugins, and while editing / debugging it is very tedious to restart Resolume just to be able to test a new version.

Categorizing plugins is not possible in Resolume currently.

What you could do as a workaround, would be adding your own presets with a tag in the preset name. Then when you enter the tag into the search in the panel, the list will be filtered, and only show effects and presets which have the text in the name.

Resolume 7 can handle the addition and removal of plugins on the fly now, but I'm not quite sure what would happen if a plugin gets overwritten in place.
If you remove the plugin, wait a few seconds, then place the updated one that should work.
