Same document looks completely different in windows vs mac

I've been scratching my head for a while wondering what was going on and basically, Windows and Mac behave completely different when it comes to blending modes. Below are examples of what I mean. They are from exactly the same document.
This is windows

There are some differences that I can attribute to screen settings colour profiles etc, but the main eye shape difference is shocking. The layer blend mode is set to 50 subtract. What's the cause of this? Is it inherent to the OS? Can it be fixed?? I have tones of generative work done in Resolume that is suffering from this and similar problems. I want to cry!

It turns out that the difference is caused by Resolume V6 to V7, how's this so?? Is the rendering between them that different? I have to say that I prefer the way 6 renders...

Can you share the composition you see this with?
Was it made in v6 or v7 originally?

Is the mac and pc running same brand GPU (nvidia/AMD) ?

The comp was originally created in 6 which is what's running on the mac, the PC shows the difference under Res7, not 6. After a few tests sharing the comp with other people, it's clear that the difference is caused by the version of Resolume independently of the OS. Both my machines have Nvidia GPUs.

Can you share the composition, maybe it's an issue with importing it to v7?

I can but you would have to sign an NDA.

Well, if you can create a similar one where it happens, we can take a look a that.
Two screenshots won't help much figuring out what's going wrong in this case ;)
