flash version 7 or 8

what version of the flash player is supported by resolume? can I use flash 8's great new features or do I have to stick with flash 7 or even 6?
I can't find a reference to the flash player version anywhere

flash player 8 works fine, whether or not you get to use 'great new features' depends on what you mean.
As far as scripting goes there are only the documented specific functions resolume can use and they are all supported by the lower players.

well, for example flash 8 supports video with alpha channels, and new kinds of blending modes. (although you may not need flash for these effects, my question is do they work
)

i think they do, someone said they got it working with the beta of flash player 8.
no better way to find out then to try it yourself though
