Wire: Attack release

Having fun with Wire, but this also means more questions ;)

In Max, the line object can be used to create a AR device where it's also possible to hold on marker points and continue with a next message. The is handy in combination with note on / off messages. In the Wire case, start an animation (on keypress), pause and continue when note is off (key released).
Would this be possible using Wire? Probably it can, but how?

Use the AR node? Attact, pause and release on another message, or switch to the timeline node?

Again, appreciate the feedback and helps me going :P

Not really, would like to have control over when the release is triggered of the Attack Release node.

Here is a patch to illustrate, note on triggers an animation and on note off triggers the release.
But the release is also always automatically triggered when the attack is completed. Is there a way to change this? So to keep the line up when the key is pressed?

I was also interested in this.

Here is my take on it.
  • It works so that RE-attacking before a full release is done, starts raising from the current value (Without jumping to 0).
  • It uses Fixed velocity, but you could use the MIDI velocity with ease

It would be great if the "Attack Release" Node would support this natively.

Erez, that's a lot of Wires ;) but it works perfectly. And I agree, hopefully this will be added soon to the AR node.
