internal FFT confusion on windows

I can use virtual cable to get internal fft from itunes, rekordbox, or ableton, but then I can no longer hear the music. Is there a way to pass the audio through resolume back to my speakers?

This seems a little more straight forward with rekordbox / windows media player as you can select virtual cable as an output. but i have no idea how to solve ableton/ itunes as you cant select virtual cable as an output, and as far as I can tell you have to set the entire computers audio output as virtual cable.

I'm a little baffled I can't find more info on this topic.

Ideally sending audio to another input (if available) on the soundcard might work or using ipad\iphone with a lightning cable>Audio can get things done but externally

i find that when using Cubase the best practice for generating content to feed Resolume and utilize FFT is to sync it up via clock just to get a general feel for the starting visual I'm after and then exporting waves and loading them directly into clips to play and mix in Realtime

Look into Voicemeter Potato, you can send it out an aux so you can hear it and route it internally.

I finally got voicemeeter to work between ableton and resolume. I think I just had to uncheck the option in my computers sound settings that enables programs to take exclusive control over my soundcard. Damn that was a frustrating problem glad its done.
