Hi,
I have big composition with ~1500 clips. With web server enabled, transport stutter when I trigger clip even if no clients connected to the server.
Also loading this composition with web server option take more time.

Interesting, I don't see any difference with 2000 clips on my old macbook.
What kind of machine are you using?

MSI GS66, i7-10750h, Windows 10.
I made fresh install, there is no big fps drop, but UI not so responsive for me, when webserver is on.
I made short shot.
bandicam 2022-02-02 14-20-56-397 with webserver active.

Do you have a client connected to the server when it happens?

No clients, as I know.

I have over 3K clips in my comp and I haven't noticed any issues other than the longer load times of the comp when I first run Arena. REST seems to be working fine for me. Razer Blade 15" current model (if that helps?)

Could be something else going on too.
Some slowdown is expected with the server on, it refreshes the information, so it has up to date data when a client connects, and doesn't have to build everything in one go.
If you have lots of animated parameters in the composition, clips, or layers, that could explain a bigger performance hit. Does your composition has such params?

No, there are only video footages.
Composition with smaller amount of clips working ok.
There are 1 deck, about 100 layers, ~20 columns each now.

Curious why there's 100 layers? That's excessively a lot lol.

It's like database of clips. Many layers for place more clips on screen for faster search.
