Wire: Feature request: Merge gets adjustable size (not always just patch size)

The Merge node seems to always force the size to reduce to the patch size. I’d like to be able to specify other sizes for it.
I’m creating highly symmetric content at 5K (using Bendoscope and PolarKaleido) then I’m randomly (with smoothing) moving a 4K window within that 5K window to break up the circular symmetry a bit. The patch is set to 4K (for final export size).
This works we’ll when I use, for example, a Repeat at 5K into Bendoscope.
But if I instead use a GridPattern at 5K, which has to be merged before going Into a VideoMixer,
it drops to 4K if the patch is set to 4K, and I can’t see how to change this. I then have to resize
back to 5K to use my “4K window moving inside 5K” trick, with a noticeable loss of resolution.
